Describe the overall nature and purpose of the job as it exists today.

Senior project manager in SW project office to manage SW mobile phone projects.

 

1. Manage software project for mobile phone with different complexities, covering all or part project phases, such as planning, execution, customer acceptance, launch and maintenance

2. Manage the project toward its goal in terms of scope, time, costs, and quality. This includes monitoring and tracking project time schedules, and focusing on the needs and prioritizations of the customer

3. Drive SW activities, such as scope management, platform integration, feature development, & verification, launch activities, across SW organizations. Handle uncertainties and possibilities in the project, for example by active risk management

4. Interact and build trust with all stakeholders, such as HW, Customers (representative), Quality & Validation, Production, Program Management, etc

5. Proactively participate in the process improvement and bring up new ideas to improve overall productivity and efficiency

 

1. Solid technique background, be familiar with the system architecture and HW knowledge in specific area

2. More than 5 years of software project management experience. More than 10 years of working experience, with at least 5 years of mobile phone industry experience

3. Good communication, influence, conflict management skills. Excellent English skills. Be proactive and with strong teamwork
