Description
PDU IPT NMS is part of DU IP & Broadband within BNET. Head office is located in San Jose with sites in Vancouver, Genoa and Beijing.
In NDO NMS Beijing we have the full responsibility feature development for CBA evolution, NMS common platform, Packet Service Assurance, Security and License Management areas.
For a LTA Senior Software Design, you will report to NDO Beijing IPT NMS development manager. You will be the technical lead for NDO feature development at requirement analysis; implementation detailed solution review and component architect design review. Meanwhile you will provide consultancy and knowledge sharing to team for competence build up and difficulty technical problem solving in daily work. You will also help with setting up the communication channel across NDOs at development team and S&T, SIV team. You need to support line manager for growing up local technical expert and improving developing efficiency.
You must have proven extensive experience in NMS software development using Enterprise Java and JEE, Database in a distributed and multi-threaded programming environment; IP&Ethernet knowledge. You should have the advanced experience at Packet service assurance, common platform and common functionality (FM/PM/Security). The development has been executed according to agile WoW, Steamline development. You should have experience from similar WoW.
You will cooperate and communicate with scrum teams and other NDOs. Excellent inter-culture communication skills and sharing spirit are required as well as ability to travel abroad.
Your work will include
- Responsible for driving resolutions to Platform/CBA and/or Packet features; driving technical decisions
- Working with team to understand system requirements and behaviour, ensure that the implementation solution meets product specifications
- System and software related documents writing and reviewing
- Code reviewer for CBC features
- Responsible for knowledge sharing at JEE, EJB and Database; as well as IP/Ethernet knowledge.
- Working with cross functional teams to identify quality risk in time to assure the project schedule and quality goals are met
Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant industrial software development experience
- Strong software design background in network management/element management system
- Good understanding on SW Platforms and Frameworks, i.e. Java SE and EE, JBoss Seam, Company Component Based Architecture (CBA), Rule Engines (e.g. Drools), Workflow Engines (e.g. jBPM) and Application Servers, like JBoss
- Good understanding of Modeling and Model Driven Approaches, like UML, Rational Software Architect, Design Patterns, MDD/MDA
- Product knowledge of IP/Ethernet Services and corresponding Network Management (FCAPS)
- Good understanding of IP/Ethernet Transport infrastructure, Rapid Spanning Tree, Multiple Spanning Tree, Ethernet Ring Protection, Link Aggregation Group (LAG), MPLS-TP, IP/MPLS, L2/L3 VPN, IPsec, IEEE 802.1 series standards, Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) Specifications, QoS in Ethernet Networks
- Working knowledge of Agile and Streamline software development methodologies
