Describe the overall nature and purpose of the job as it exists today.

As expert of Surface Mount Technology, to assess/support build up site’s capability mainly in SMT.

Train site resources to enhance SMT skills to be able to manage production according to requirement and needed capabilities.

Lead common improvement in SMT area in all sites.

Develop and optimize SMT process together with process owner based on EMS&ODM site requirements and practice. Coordinate implementation on all sites.

 

1. Apply SMT expertise to develop and continuously optimize work models of SMT Capability Management and improvement for all sites.

2. From SMT technology perspective, to do Site capability assessment to identify EMS&ODM partner candidate and current partner’s strength/weakness vs. our requirements and needed capabilities.

3. Lead Site Improvement Project cross sites regarding SMT. Develop creative solutions in solving SMT related problems. Provide technical support to enhance EMS&ODM site’s capability from SMT perspective.

4. Execute and document “Transfer project evaluations” that consider the receiving sites conditions. Create, update when circumstances change, follow up and implement rollout plans. Implementations need to be adapted to the receiving sites conditions, this is one of the main value add for Site Capability and how and when this should be done shall be documented in a plan.

5. Lead other small to medium sized SMT implementation project.

 

1. Have around 10 years  experience of Surface Mount Technology, hands on experience of process set up, documentation and optimization necessary.

2. Have good knowledge of failure analyze, and improvement. Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations. Can  provides coaching and actively shares knowledge!

3. Knowledge of hardware design, component design, new technology research experience

Other  Able to do business case study from cost, capability and quality point of view

Strong verbal and written communication skills both in English and Chinese
