Project Manager, Human Interface Design

PURPOSE OF JOB:
Describe the overall nature and purpose of the job as it exists today.
UX Creative Design & Planning center is creativity driver within Company Communication, responsible for setting the design direction on interface and product design to achieve human centred experience. You will be working with a global team of creative designers that are best in the industry, including Visual Designers, Interaction Designers, Industrial Designers and Colour & Material designers. The team works on both future concepts and reality practice to deliver our best design to the market.
The role of Design Project Manager is to manage design projects delivered by the human interface design team. Its work scope include to: plan project scope, schedule design work, track deliverables and make sure stakeholders are committed milestones are reached. You as Project Manager need to work closely with Interaction Designer, Visual Designers, Planners to make this happen.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Attend project meetings to collect request and check milestone.
Make design plan and request design resources from Dep managers.
Set check point and deliver point to design team;
2. Check deliverables from design team and give review feedback on design quality;
Explain and clarify design to project stakeholders;
Review design implementation;
3. Train design vendors on process, deliverables and guidelines.
ADDITIONAL INPUT:
Work experiences: Relevant work experience on design project management, preferably for handheld consumer devices. (typical companies might be Motorola, Nokia, LG, Samsung, Lenovo)
Operational skills:
A strong sense of project management.
Good knowledge on design process (interaction design and visual design) and deliverables. Self driven work manner with teamwork spirit.
Strong communication skills.

3. Interaction and Visual Design knowledge;
Understand what to create visual design, how to correctly compose visuals and break down to visual work tasks: graphic assets, fonts, layout, contents, illustration and motions.
Understand user requirements, personas, storyboards, scenarios, flowcharts, design prototypes, and design specifications and break down to interaction work tasks.
4. Communication skills: Effectively communicate project background, requirement brief, problems and obstacles and design rationale both verbally and visually to internal and external stakeholders.
Other Language skills: Strong in English, oral and written.
