Solution Manager for planning solutions (in BIS dept)
Overall Description
Business IT Solutions (BIS) is a part of the IT Operations Organization within Corporate IT. BIS is responsible for the strategic planning, development and maintenance of IT solutions towards SEMC various business functions.
Within planning solution area, we manage E2E supply chain and logistics solutions with external and internal partners that support the business operations. The solutions are primarily based on a customized I2 solution and SAP SCM/APO module.
We are now looking for a Solution Manager, who will be responsible for planning solutions within Company together with other solution managers. The role requires good knowledge and an interest in supply chain and fulfilment processes. A real interest in and understanding of the business drivers and of how technology can support Company’s way forward, is also required. The Solution Manager will perform pre-studies, translation of business requirements into Business Blueprints on which external partners will build technical specifications and detailed implementations. The Solution Manager will facilitate governance of the solutions and maintain solution roadmaps in collaboration with the business and the Application Architects. Good communicative skills and negotiating skills including experience in managing external partners are desirable.
Qualifications
• At least 6 years relevant experience on the solution management of planning business area with I2 system and/or SAP SCM/APO (as a plus).
• Proven experience of playing the key role in the design and development of planning solutions
• Experience of negotiating and cooperating with global vendors, such as outsourcing partners
• Ability to translate business requirements into IT solutions
• Experience of operating internationally across geographical regions
• University degree
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Fluency in English, both verbal and written
Duties
Support Business development
Business interaction
· Provide expert knowledge to the business
· Create and maintain near-term solution roadmap
· Identify areas of potential solution and process improvements together with the business
· Proactively identifying how CIT can deliver value to the business
Application Development
· Lead and perform requirement specification creation and pre-study for projects/modifications (TG0-TG3).
· Formulate business requirements – capabilities translated into IT (create High Level Design document)
· Work with other teams and competence centres to ensure E2E solution completeness
· Participate in TG reviews for new solutions implementations
· Evaluate training requirements for the new developments and conduct super user training (or train the trainer)
· Facilitate User Acceptance Testing and evaluation / communication of test result
Support current solutions
Support live solution
· Live solution design authority and documentation owner
· In exceptional cases participate in issue escalation relating to production incidents.
· Receive and review metrics regarding incident levels for solution area (response as required).
· Provide SoMC business functions with information regarding system performance and general information.
Support user community
· Act as point of contact for business super users into CIT
· Provide SoMC business functions with operational advice and guidance on processes and systems
· Support super user network with training/advice and facilitate super user network
