Description
Company has established a Company control Hub in Nanjing to perform group and statutory accounting and reporting, conduct local company governance as well as provide tax reporting and counseling for applicable legal entities in China.
The responsibility of the company control hub is to safeguard the reporting of each legal entity to guarantee the quality of the financial data used by Business controllers and Company Management.
The Tax Unit Manager will be heading a unit that is accountable for all activities within the functional area Tax Management. The unit will in this functional area be responsible for all legal entities where the Company Control responsibility has been transferred to hub.
 
The Tax Unit Manager main responsibilities are to assure compliance with tax legislation, mitigate tax risks, to provide expert tax advice, and to ensure high quality in tax accounting and reporting. The position is based upon the global company control position "Tax Unit Manager".
 
Key responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with local tax legislation
Ensure tax efficiency
Ensure high quality in tax accounting and reporting
Mitigate tax risks
Provide tax advice
Ensure alignment with global tax processes and directives
Supervise activities within Tax Management
Responsible for people management in the unit i.e. staffing, competence management, performance and salary reviews
The Tax Unit Manager reports to Head of Company Control Hub Nanjing
Qualifications

You are proficient within the taxation discipline.
You also possess:
Strong result orientation
High level of integrity as well as a capability to balance different perspectives
Strong ability to communicate and interact with management as well as external parties in order to establish fruitful relationships
Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
Leadership skills combining a supportive attitude with a capability to delegate responsibility and conduct effective follow-up
Fluent in spoken and written English
 
Experience & Education:
Academic degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, and/or Tax Law
Extensive experience in local and international tax legislation
Knowledgeable in GAAP (i.e. local GAAPs, IFRS, and Group Directives)
Knowledgeable and understanding of financial systems
Management experience
