Senior Solution verification Engineer (IP & Broadband Network)

Job Objective:
To be responsible to perform IP & Broadband network with multi-access network end to end solution testing, to ensure the integrated overall network quality for customer and product.
Responsibilities:
· Integrate hardware and software of different products for IP & Broadband transport network with multi-access network and management System
· Design and perform integration test, function test and performance test, debug nodes and system issues, verify compliance of interfaces and features in end to end system.
· Work closely with design organization to verify the solutions, analyze and report the bugs and fix problems.
· Drive quick resolution of the problems by coordinating the tests with hardware and software engineers and system design
· Work on customer testing for IP and Broadband products and related solutions
Qualifications:
· Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecom, or equivalent as minimum
· Solid knowledge of GPON (or EPON), and IP network. Knowledge of Optical network, Microwave networks is a plus
· Experience of Cisco, Juniper, Redback and Huawei, Fiberhome, datacom products is a plus
· Experience with the following test equipment is preferred: IXIA, AXN, N2X, Test Center
· Certificate of Cisco, Juniper, and HuaWei Datacom products is a plus
· Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
· Knowledge of basic UNIX operation is required
· Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are required.

Solution I&V Engineer - Packet Core

Description
Packet core is one important area in MPBN solution, and the evolved packet core network is the trend along with LTE. DUIB Solutions is responsible to design and verify the MPBN solution, with client modules.
Responsibility
· Integrate packet core network with backbone network, setup the MPBN total solution environment
· Design and perform integration test, function test and performance test, debug nodes and system issues, verify compliance of interfaces and features in end to end system
· Drive quick resolution of the problems by coordinating the tests with product development team and solution design
· Participate in MPBN solution design, take some module design and give support other testers
· Support issues found from customer site, provide strong support to resolve issues
· Take customer request, design and setup the lab, verify the concept and provide report
· Acquire and keep technical competence up to date, competence on both technical knowledge and E/// new packet core products
Qualifications
You should be highly technically competent:
· University Bachelor or Master Degree of any of the following: Computer Science, Telecommunication, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering
· Highly developed knowledge and skills in packet core network in 2G/3G/4G, good knowledge of EPC
· Highly developed knowledge and skills in IP network technology
· Excellent knowledge on packet core network nodes
· Good knowledge in GPRS and WCDMA systems
· Highly developed Knowledge of testing concepts & strategies in IP network
· Good knowledge and skills in Juniper is a plus
· Good knowledge in CS core is a plus

Portfolio Domain Customised Solutions & Multimedia (CSMM) is a unit in the Regional Portfolio Management (RPM) department of the Region China and Northeast Asia (RCNA). Its primary function is to provide portfolio ownership and solution management services, supporting the sales engagement (CU & CE) and delivery (SDO) departments.
The role of the position is to actively provide SI architectural and design support primarily in pre-sales activities. This could be Customer Adaptations and/or Solution Customisations. Tasks include management of requirements, analysis, lobbying, proposing, documenting and lifecycle management of the solutions.
Solutions must be aligned with business objectives and goals.
Sometimes, third-party solutions may be used, in which case partner interaction will be needed.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
· Provide SI solution support for pre-sales - Eg. Identify requirements, lobby customer and propose business appropriate solutions. Sometimes delivery support may be needed.
· Be an active technical consultant with CU/CE/other PDs and third-parties to develop and drive winning customised solutions to customer's requirements.
· Drive solution dimensioning work and be able to evaluate external product (software & hardware) from third-parties.
· Own and manage Life Cycle Management of customised solutions, much like a Strategic Product Manager role.
· Actively seek and share knowledge throughout organisation for the uplifting of collective competitiveness.
· Work with and provide indications to delivery organisation (SDO) for securing post-sale success.
· Evaluate and formulate alternative cost-effective solutions and make appropriate business decisions to adopt such solutions.
· Be respectful of processes in a sensible manner to ensure Speed with Quality.
Qualifications
· A university degree preferably in computer science. Also considered are telecommunications or software-related discipline.
· Preferably candidate should have software engineering and/or design background with good business sense.
· At least 5 years experience in the field of telecommunications and/or software design/development in related areas. Has overall and deep understanding of telecom business, particularly in the BSS and/or OSS area.
· Excellent working knowledge of BSS and/or OSS/NMS systems.
· Work experience such as those from R&D and onsite delivery would be advantageous.
· Good inter-personal skills with ability to listen and communicate in effective manners to colleagues and customers.
· You should be willing travel at short notices.
· You should be a team player with a great attitude of being initiative, inquisitive of the 'big picture' and always be willing to 'do what it takes'!
· Languages: Written and oral fluency in English. Oral fluency in Chinese Mandarin. Additional regional languages would be advantageous (Eg. Japanese, Korean, Cantonese etc.)
