Company China Technology Center is looking for a Sr. Hardware Development Manager to lead the development/sustaining of innovative video conferencing hardware products. Our product line has included video conferencing console and its peripherals, bridge and recording/streaming infrastructures. We are continuing to innovate and are seeking new leaders in this journey.
As a development manager, you are responsible for leading a cross-functional team of Electrical/Mechanical/Firmware/FPGA Engineers, Test, etc. from initial concept to high volume production. At the same time, you are challenged to meet program goals for product performance, quality goals, safety/compliance regulatory requirements, product cost, schedule, and development budget. You are also responsible for coordination with Product Management, Marketing, Industrial Designers, and Engineering to define the product, solidify the business case, and author the product specifications.
Your track record must include managing development of high volume hardware products, product definition/comprehension, development and execution of program schedules, program budget planning/management, product BOM management, and high volume manufacturing.
You must have a strong desire, passion, and ability to understand customer needs and a willingness to develop holistic product solutions that delight our customers and exceed their expectations. You should also have a solid comprehension of the video conferencing industry and demonstrate a personal passion for its growth in the enterprise and SMB market.
Responsibilities
- As part of the architect team, analyze the feature/cost/schedule requirements and come up with innovative hardware proposals.
- Drive technical decisions required for projects.
- Team leadership for cross functional product development teams.
- Organize, present, and document technical and program reviews/status to Senior Management.
- Ensure products meet worldwide regulatory agency compliance requirements.
- Anticipate risks; assess, mitigate, and manage accordingly.
- Execute multi-purpose programs including new products, modules, cost reduction and/or continuous improvement.
- Ensure the developing products will meet DFT/DFM/DFR requirements.
- Lead key component and supplier selection and qualification
- Explore and understand competitive landscape in both product and business terms
Requirements
- BS/MS Electrical Engineering degree with 10+ years development engineering experience for hardware products in a fast paced environment.
- 5+ years management experience of a cross-functional team (Electrical/ Mechanical/ Firmware/ FPGA)
- Full responsibility for at least 4 significant delivered-to-market product development cycles in networking or consumer products industries.

- Strong strategic leadership and analytical skills
- Solid critical/precise thinking and questioning skills
- Excellent communication (written and oral, English and Mandarin) skills and collaborate effectively with proven interpersonal skills
- Experience to solve difficult technical, quality, cost, and schedule challenges
