Billing/Charging Software Developer

Description
As service engineer you will provide technical service and support to new and existing customer networks - telecom and datacom or internal Company test plants. You will plan, design, troubleshoot and resolve problems in order to stabilize and optimize customer networks.
Product Area: Business support system for telecom operator including Billing/Charging/Customer care
General tasks
- 3'rd level customer support (design, coding & unit test) of BSCS Customer Releases (BSCS 6 to BSCS IX R3) within the different product areas
- Problem analyze according to customers problem notification
- Being involved in design change requests (functional specification - FSP & high level design - HLD)
- No significant travel will be necessary
- Nevertheless short time onsite supports may be needed
Qualifications
You have a broad knowledge within telecom and datacom, covering hardware, software and network knowledge. You enjoy working with people from around the world and across various disciplines, from customer technical staff to local authorities. You are self-motivated, with the drive to solve problems and expand your knowledge.
You should also have
Academic background
- University master degree in a scientific or technical subject
- Bachelor with strong practical background in programming techniques in at least one of the required programming languages (JAVA, C++, C#, C)
soft skills
- Team player
- Autonomous working style
- Flexibility concerning working hours and time
- Interested in solving problems and creative in finding solutions
- Good English must, German welcome
Technical skills / IT competency
o Development experience in the following programming languages: C++ /C and JAVA
o Experience in the working environments: Eclipse, Unix (HP, SUN, IBM)
o Experience with Oracle Databases and SQL
Additional experience in system near programming and debug is welcome |
