Qualifications
You should possess a relevant educational background and/or work experience in Management and/or Employee Development, leadership development, Training and/or Organization Development. Additional qualifications include:
- Knowledgeable in learning/training and development function including needs analysis, training design, blended solutions and/or instruction, and levels of evaluation
- Previous relevant work experience in training / HR, and/or OD
- Good program design, group facilitation and platform skills
- Proven stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Excellent oral and written English communications skills
- Excellent basic computer skills, such as, Word*, Excel*, and PowerPoint*
- Self starter and highly motivated, and can work with minimal supervision
 
Responsibilities
Job Description: Manages the actives for personnel learning and development programs. Designs, organizes, and delivers training classes for developing optimal utilization of employees. Develops tests and visual aids, coordinates class arrangements, and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. Keeps abreast of training and development research: learning theory, motivation theory, and new materials, methods, and techniques. Responds to customer and/or client requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment. Using expert judgment in data analysis to develop and design solutions for moderately complex processes. Working on problems and/or tasks in the delivery, and assessing risk and identifying issues. Responsible for other tasks and/or responsibilities assigned by manager
 
 
Technical Training Director

Description:
The Director of Technical Training is responsible for the training, performance and development activities for a workforce of approximately 2000 employees at the Company manufacturing site in Dalian, China.  Specific responsibilities include:
·        Providing factory leadership and management for proactive tactical planning and execution of the production ramp, resource planning and/or management, and tool and labor productivity improvements.
·        Leading and coordinating teams to develop inventive fab strategies and systems to improve execution and efficiency in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
·        Leading a team of ~25 technical training professionals.
·        Partnering with engineering and manufacturing customers to identify key performance gaps or development opportunities and identifying action plans to address these.
·        Managing the tactical, strategic, and/or day-to-day operational activities involved in the design, preparation, delivery, and needs assessment of technical training and development programs.
·        Partnering with teams from other support groups such as Human Resources and Technical Training teams from other Company sites to coordinate efforts, optimize results and eliminate waste.
·        Putting appropriate metrics in place to assess the capabilities of the workforce and the effectiveness of the learning programs.
·        Aligning department priorities to factory business priorities.
·        Benchmarking externally/internally to develop and deliver state-of-the art adult maximizing overall training ROI.
·        Implementing continuous improvement programs to improve effectiveness, efficiency and cost.
 
Qualifications:
·        You should possess an advanced degree and/or related experience at the Department Manager or Director level.
·        Strong history supporting factory and/or manufacturing operations
·        Demonstrated leadership skills, including employee motivation, retention and development. Proven history as a successful Company manager, managing cross-functional/diverse teams, role modeling Company’s Management and Leadership expectations.
·        Experience developing skills and knowledge in a highly technical environment.
·        Advanced, leadership-level problem solving, effective decision making, break-through thinking and strong oral/written communication skills.
·        Stakeholder management:  Demonstrated ability to lead and influence across organizational boundaries primarily with mid and senior levels, and demonstrated credibility with all levels of management.
·        Ability to communicate effectively verbally and by written communication in both Mandarin and English.
