Sr. System Configuration Management Engineer for PDU CC

Job Description:
- Responsible for defining and maintaining configuration management procedures and policies within R&D design teams;
- Design and implement all activities related to configuration management of a product development and release for Company CM system;
- Define and maintain baseline information for all releases within the assigned projects;
- Responsible for release document plan and management, and audit the documents properly stored in Company Document System according to requirements and release products according to Company release management requirement.
- Attend CM related meetings for handling change request, trouble report, ClearCase and other tools;
- Implement tools to support configuration management, defect tracking and change request control;
- Software CM, management of artifacts (source code, documents and deliverables) with a version control system, build management
- Define configuration management process to manage all configuration items and activities;
- Administrate source control tools, design release branch strategy based on development community’s requirement; hands on building images, resolving merge conflict, debugging compile issues, gathering release information and posting images.
- Communicate among different development teams to coordinate branch requirements, code drops based on release criteria.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree or above in Computer Science or similar with 3+ year working experience in software industry and configuration management;
- Familiar with source control, release activity and configuration management tools;
- Familiar with Basic CleareCase is required, knowledge of UCM is preferred;
- Familiar with build system, Makefile;
- Strong working experience in a Unix/Linux environment;
- Knowledge of C/C++ programming;
- Good at programming with Perl or Tcl, Java scripts;
- Understanding of system configuration management standards, sound knowledge of SCM technology and tools;
- Good interpersonal and communication skills;
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently on extended assignments;
- Fluent English speaking and writing
- Teamwork spirit with demonstrated ability to work in a global team;
