Job Description:
In this position, you will be joining the IAG/ECG China Performance Products Division (PPD) Platform Application Engineering (PAE) Team as a Senior engineer and will be responsible for supporting Company Architecture (IA) based Wireless Infrastructure influencing and joint Proof of Concept (PoC) development with PRC key Telecom Equipment Manufactures (TEM) including Huawei/ZTE and telecom operators, including China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom. You also need to take the responsibility to provide software design support to TEMs' IA based Wireless projects after customer design commitment. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Influencing TEMs and Telecom Operators to adopt IA for Wireless Base-Station applications
- Establish a technical trusted advisor relationship with customers to educate them on the value proposition of IA architecture for wireless solutions, IA software design methodologies and development tools.
- Develop a thorough understanding of TEM customers' current Wireless solutions and future evolutions (with respect to BTS), in order to:
* Match make IA design opportunities at TEMs and Influence TEMs to adopt IA
* Influence PPD product/software roadmap to align with wireless market trends
- Proactively influence PPD product line feature set and collaterals with input from customer wireless product requirements
- Resolve TEMs' technical questions and challenges during the design enabling and design-in phase of the product development
- Provide software architecture and design support to TEMs' IA based Wireless projects
- Developing white papers, application notes and technical presentations associated with developing wireless products with IA architecture
Requirement:
You should possess at least a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with five to seven years of Wireless Base-Station Software Design and Wireless Base-Station platform (HW/SW) Architecture Development experience and a proven track record of delivering Wireless Base-Station products to market. Additional qualifications include:
- In-depth understanding of Base-Station software/hardware architecture
- In-depth understanding and hands on software design experiences of Base-Station Base-Band signal processing, L2/L3 processing and control, wireless algorithm design, etc.
- Understanding of wireless standards such as LTE and wireless technology evolution
- Strong technical knowledge of Real-Time Operating System, real time task scheduling, RT-Linux etc.
- Fundamental understanding of Company® Architecture Processors and Chipsets
- Design experience or working knowledge of Company® Architecture systems, chip sets, or processors
- Strong verbal communication and/or technical writing skills in Chinese and English
- Good interpersonal and presentation skills
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to travel
