Senior Engineer - GGSN Software Architect

Description
We are looking for software architect to work with the Packet Core Network for Company industry-leading GGSN (Gateway GPRS Support Node). GGSN is a central node in the packet core network providing gateway functionality between the internet and the core network as well as service-aware charging and control functionality to GSM, 3G (both WCDMA and TD-SCDMA) and SAE/LTE (Evolved Packet System).
As a software architect in the GGSN group in Shanghai, you will guide the development teams throughout the entire development process with providing architectural guidance using the Software Architecture Framework. You will help the development team to deploy the Software Architecture Framework.
You will be responsible for architectural artifacts, producing and maintaining the material in collaboration with the Core Architects. You will be involved in the Software Architecture Framework such as Meta-Architecture, Guidelines and Policies.
You will be one member of architect team, act as a two-way bridge/communication channel between the architect team and design team.
You will also be involved in time estimations as support to the early phase study.
You will have the responsibilities on one or more GGSN technical areas.

Requirement
University Bachelor or Master Degree of any of the following: Computer Science, Telecommunication, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering.
Highly developed programming skills.
Highly developed design skills, especially on design modeling and design pattern.
Experienced on OOAD and UML. Familiar with Rational Rose and Rhapsody tools
Highly developed knowledge in Linux, Unix (Solaris) and VxWorks
Working experience on other R&D area, test and system design
Good knowledge about IP protocols.
Good knowledge of GSN system architecture
Can work independently and have the team spirit.
Open minded and willing to accept new challenges.
Good English communication skills (both in written and verbal), able to express own thinking clearly.
Support Engineer SGSN and GGSN

Description
The requirements on our products, from both existing and potential new customers, are currently very high and there is a big demand of product support.
In order to meet the demands above and to secure a continued success of the Company Packet Core products, we are expanding support area.
As a support engineer your main responsibilities are to together with your team:
- Handle SGSN or GGSN CSR (Customer Service Requests)
- Emergency handling.
- Perform troubleshooting on node (live and lab).
- Participate/Run customer Demos.
- Participle in FOA
- Close co-operation with your interfaces, within PDU as well as MU/GSDC.

System Engineer R&D

Description
The purpose of the job as a Systems Developer within Company Provisioning and Activation is to help us define,
drive and develop Company's provisioning features and support into the future. You will work close with other
solution domains within Company like Core Network (HLR), IMS, Charging and Broadband.
The product you will work with is the Company Multi Activation (EMA), which has a globally installed base serving more
than 500 million subscribers. The system is developed in C++ and Java, and based on open platform technology with HA
capabilities.
As a Systems Developer your main responsibilities consist of requirements analysis and refinement, system design,
and related activities such as product and system documents/CPI, interfaces, functionality and performance. You are
also expected to drive internal improvements together with other disciplines like design and verification.
The tasks are performed as part of pre-phase activities and within development projects, but also as other activities
like technical support to sales and market units, as well as solution support to solution integration services.
Within your work you are expected to have an active interaction with other roles in the whole of Company, which
includes to:
- Discuss and provide requirements feedback to product managers
- Propose and discuss technical solutions to other solution's system managers and solution architects
- Support sales to prepare customer proposals and answer customer questions
- Follow-up requirements implementation with developers.
Qualifications
We are looking for you with a solid and documented competence in systems development, with experience of system architecture
work (on Solaris/Linux platforms) using application server and database technology. You should have a strong understanding
of software development.
You should further be well oriented in the area of the Business Support Systems (eTom), with an understanding for the fundamentals
and principles within this area. Knowledge about fulfillment and assurance in more details is meriting.
We also expect you to have solid English communication skills and good social abilities as you will work in an international environment with colleagues around the world.
