Description
1. Objective of the Job
This position is to set up & manage all activities related to the quality framework & system in the development projects in NDO OMS1410 & SEA.
2. Background
In order to embrace the needs to build up NDO OMS1410 & SEA into an R&D organization shaped on Operational Excellence, and to better support the NDO with right first time quality, this PQM position is created to enhance NDO quality management process, planning & management.
3. Responsibilities
- Enforce Company & PDU Optical Network (ON) quality process, template, checklist & KPI into each line’s way of working (WOW) throughout product & project life cycle. Overall be in charge of quality system.
- Work closely with NDO management team to drive the definition of quality KPI, and build up NDO quality data repository to guide right quality improvement direction in coordination with PDU ON R&D Ops.
- Work with main project managers to ensure quality activities properly planned and deployed as project plan; support project management plan for OMS1410 & SEA & OMS 800 releases; follow up on quality outcome both in terms of product quality and project performance to address corrective actions whenever needed.
- Report project quality status, risk assess key quality issues within project and escalate to main project manager. Evaluate product & project quality readiness at key milestones to advise decision with delegation of PDU ON R&D Operations and NDO head.
- Enforce NDO OMS1410 & SEA quality enhancement initiatives with lines; coordinate quality related training within NDO.
4. Authorities
Take full responsibility of NDO quality system, product quality management and project quality plan with direct delegation by PDU R&D Operations, NDO head and related program manager.
5. Reporting Line
The Product Quality Manager will report to the NDO OMS1410 & SEA Project Office Manager and dot line report to PDU ON R&D Operations.
Qualifications
6. Requirements for the Job
- A minimum of 8 years experience of R&D, and 5 years experience in quality management areas including process quality management, quality system, quality audit & quality control.
- Deep insight on R&D quality activities, quality system and KPI
- Proven leadership skills
- Excellent communication skills and social ability
- Fluent in English speaking, writing and presentation
- Experience on ISO9000, CMM is a plus |
