This position will initially report to an Ex-pat Logistics manager, but will be expected to learn the role in order to eventually take sole responsibility for the long-term sustaining Site Logistics Manager role.
In this Site Logistics Manager position, you will be responsible to manage, direct and guide all aspects of a logistics group to meet or exceed expectations. You will be maximizing the tactical operational performance of a logistics function. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: - Managing import, export, customs operations, international and domestic transportation, (including Capital Equipment tools and related accessories, spare parts and materials, hazardous materials and Silicon, among other items); and warehouse management (including staging and inventory management and factory delivery of tools and tools accessories from/to 2 or more warehouses - Managing a staff 12 or more, consisting of supplier management specialists, analysts, project managers, Customs supervisors and import/export clerks, per Company’s people management expectations and processes - Coaching and providing clear direction to Logistics staff on individual development plans (IDP)
- Sustaining and ensuring the continuous improvement of business processes and Specs used to manage the business
- Interfacing with site and/or global IT operations that support transportation and warehouse information systems used at the site - Ensuring positive government and custom relationships are maintained by complying with their rules and regulations and meeting with them as necessary - Meeting and exceeding Company Logistics operations Critical Success Indicators (CSI) as defined by Global Logistics Organization (GLO) - Leading and ensuring logistics staff participate in site and regional programs and projects - Coaching staff members chartered with managing transportation suppliers and 3PL or other outsourced functions (e.g. Customs Brokerage)
- Represent Logistics in F68 Staff and key F68 Ramp or Sustaining Forums
- Partner closely with F68 Staff department managers including Materials, Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering (IE), Process Engineering, Install Qual, Corporate Services, Security, HR and Training, Global Tax & Trade, among others
- Report directly to Global Logistics Organization manager and indirectly to F68 Site manager
Qualifications
You should possess a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and/or Management and/or Supply Chain with eight to ten years of transportation and/or logistics experience. An M.B.A. is preferred. Additional qualifications include: - Fluency in both English and Mandarin (oral and written) - Analytical and/or problem solving skills - Negotiation and/or influencing - Familiarity with Logistic operations, system and interdependencies, decision making, business acumen, people management and contractor and/or supplier management knowledge - Import, export, customs, trade rules, warehouse transportation operations and warehouse management systems - Leadership and management skills - PC literate, including advanced competence in Microsoft Office* applications - Organization and time-management skills |
