IP and Broadband Software Design Engineer
Description
- PDU CC: PDU Common Component is the first Product Design Unit in China. Before China R&D just did the work from other PDUs in other countries. PDU CC is just setup and will be responsible for all common component development for Company IP and Broadband products!
- Responsible for design and maintenance of one of below functions on Company IP and Broadband products
· Ethernet Switch product, such as MEF, MPLS-TP features.
· TDM service, including SDH/SONET, CES (Circuit Emulation) and EOS.
· Timing technology, such as synchronous Ethernet, ITU-T G.8262, etc.
· ATM related technology, such as ATMoIP, ATM-IMA, etc.
- Participate in systemization together with people from System team
- Responsible for writing technical documents, e.g. Implementation proposal, Design specification, Test Specification, and etc.
- Responsible for coding, unit test, basic integration test of SW functions
- Integrate software with third part software modules
- Review source code & documents
- Efficiently communicate with engineers from other teams in China and other countries
Qualifications
- M.Sc. or B.Sc in Computer Science or telecommunication engineering or related discipline (Masters preferred)
- Strong C programming skills
- 2 years or above L2/L3 protocol SW development experience in IP and broadband product area
- RTOS embedded experience (VxWorks, PSOS, Linux OS)
- Experienced in telecommunication protocols, any of following protocols: TCP/IP stack, 802.1d/1p/1q, etc.
- Good understanding of networking technologies at Layer-2/Layer-3 (e.g., MPLS/LDP, RSVP, and related TE technology, etc.
- Good understanding of protection technology, such as MSP, SNCP, G.8032/G.8031, etc.
- Good Analytic ability and good capacity to structure a problem and gather information
- Good technical writing, communication skills and high proficiency in English both oral and written
- Must be self-motivated, good team player; be able to work cohesively within the team and across geographically spread teams to accomplish results
