Cooling RD Compliance Engineer

SUMMARY OF JOB:
Provide regulatory engineering review, planning, testing and report leadership and administration for PMP programs of Computer Room/Data Center Cooling products and Rack System products. Be responsible for the execution of regulatory approval activities for the group. Work requires expert knowledge of safety and EMC regulatory standards, engineering skill, and independent judgment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Lead all regulatory test and administration work in China R&C team.
- Gain regulatory certifications on new and newly revised products; including UL, CSA, FCC, BCIQ, VCCI, CCC, and VDE.
- Coordinate the testing of new products in outside certified laboratories.
- Train product development staff on regulatory requirements and test methods.
- Support laboratory equipment needs and records upkeep.
- Support Follow Up activities in factory locations as required.
- Learn new regulatory standards and document relevant interpretations.
- Other duties as required.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
- Provide regulatory support to overseas program as required..
EDUCATION – MINIMUN REQUIRED LEVEL:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, advanced degree preferred
EXPERIENCE – MINIMUM REQUIRED:
· 5+ years previous experience providing regulatory engineering review, planning, testing and report leadership and administration for new product development projects.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS 1 – REQUIRED:
- Excellent English and Mandarin verbal and written skills.
- Expert command of requirements in Low Voltage Directive, EMC Directive, and EN60950.
- PC software proficiency (Excel, Word)
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS 2 – DESIRED BUT NOT ESSENTIAL:

- Domestic and international travel as needed
