Program Manager

Responsibilities:

 

This Position is responsible for developing and managing engineering program that support Company China product development.

1. Responsible for the cost, schedule, launch, and technical performance of product development.

2. Directs all phases of program(s) from inception through completion.

3. Organizes interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the program on schedule and within budget constraints.

4. Develops and coordinates program plans to meet business needs; is responsible for schedule, cost control, applicable program support, and cross-departmental collaboration.

5. Coordinates and participates in technology project reviews. Coordinates proposal preparation, estimation of product costs; establishing milestones and monitoring adherence to program master plans, and cost estimates; establishing program baseline budget.

6. Participates with business strategy teams and ensures viable technologies are being pursued. Oversees the development of relevant technology, reduce it to practice, plans for future Product Center requirements.

7. Exhibit excellent communication skills and interpersonal

 

 

Requirements:

1.      Master degree, or higher, in computer science or related engineering field

2.      Have minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, experience in embedded software development is a big plus. Requires strong technical skills and knowledge in software product development under various operating systems including Unix, Linux and Windows XP/Server.

3.      At least 2 years of experience in program management

4.      Technical background required at least for 4 of the following –

·        Audio/Video/Image developing experience

·        knowledge in TCP/IP or other network protocols

·        knowledge with SIP or H.323 protocols

·        Experience with Linux

·        Knowledge in UI,  Web development and SW applications

5.      Must be self motivated, flexible, and willing to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.

6.      Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a global cross-functional team member.

7.      Good communication in both English and Mandarin, written and oral.
