Corporate Investigator
Responsibilities and Details
Description
In this position, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating the enforcement of rules and regulations of the company to maintain order and ensure the safety of personnel. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Responding to customer and/or client requests or events as they occur
- Developing solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment
- Conducting investigations into allegations of employee and/or worker misconduct, inappropriate use of Company's network and/or equipment and/or programs, freight thefts, potential work place violence incidents and other matters as directed by the Investigative program manager
- Completing investigative reports and presentations on investigative findings
- Overseeing background investigation screening for new hires and other types of due diligence checks
- Overseeing and managing investigative activities conducted by private investigative companies that may be retained to support an investigation
- Ensuring investigations are undertaken in accordance with Corporate Security standards and procedures and in accordance with Company's Investigator Code of Conduct
- Developing and maintaining contact with local law enforcement agencies
- Making recommendations on security improvements and/or actions to Management. Position does require travel on occasion
Qualifications
You should possess a Bachelor's degree with more than six years experience and/or a Master's degree with more than four years experience. Additional qualifications include:
- A minimum of four years law enforcement, private security, military or similar investigative experience in addition to formal education noted below. Experience should include knowledge of investigative processes and techniques, conducting background investigations, court processes and procedures, interviewing skills, evidence handling, and case management and/or documentation
- General technical skills and knowledge of computer systems and components
- Application skills in Microsoft* Outlook*, Word*, PowerPoint* and Excel*
- Ability to clearly communicate both written and verbally in English and local language |
