The development and implementation of commodity strategies for mechanical parts and assemblies including Fabrication, machining, casting, HLA and so on across the business units of the company and where necessary globally.  Accountable for material cost, long-term assurance of supply, supplier performance, support of supplier selection requirements (including technology roadmap). as well as purchasing related information and data management for the assigned commodities.

 

Manage supplier relationship at the strategic level and responsible for the development and implementation of specific supplier strategies to drive global performance on cost, quality and delivery objectives.

Develop supplier contracts and non-disclosure agreements, PMQR, SSAA/ABA with suppliers as required to ensure supply chain performance to the highest standards..

Manage tactical execution within a Purchase Family – NPI support, escalations due to delivery/quality issues, invoicing/payables issues etc.

Conduct price analysis for NPI and transfer projects: drive “Should Be” costing model and lead negotiation with supplier to exceed the cost reduction commitment (Leger MPI) to business.

Proactively involve in eNPI project management and lead supplier consolidation execution.

Help maintain our competitive advantage, engage engineering support to manage technology obsolescence, identify and support new transfer activities, in conjunction with the transfer team, to make the maximum use of technical competencies across the supplier base.

1.Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering technical discipline

2.Previous sourcing, manufacturing, quality, or engineering experience for at least 2 years

3.Ability to communicate globally (bi-lingual)

4.Strong project management experience and skills

5.Commercial experience of the supplier management, commodity management and so on

6.Willing to travel domestically and internationally

 

1.Preferred Electrical background

2.5 years work experience with technical depth/knowledge in assigned commodities, material, machining process, or product development

3.Excellent negotiations skills and analytical skills with the ability to manage and develop supplier relationships

4.Ability to energize, develop and build rapport at all levels within an organization

5.Proven ability to execute and deliver on commitments

6.Experience implementing a compliant supply chain

7.Greenbelt certification preferred
