Responsibilities and Details

 

 

In this position. you will be responsible for the engineering and designing of facilities process systems(high purity gases, chemicals, ultapure water, waste) for multiple projects of varying complexity. You will interface and coordinate with contract design, construction and estimating resources and internal Company organizations to enable facility development efforts for process and process mechanical systems. Efforts will include definition of design criteria, development of design concepts, definition and ownership of scope of work, completion of detailed design, development of project budgets, schedules and safety requirements and facilitating project commissioning activities. You will provide technical direction to outside A&E firms throughout the project design phase, interface with site user groups, other engineering disciplines, local municipalities and/or utilities, trade contractors and other project stakeholders. You will respond to customer and/or client requests or events as they occur. You will develop solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment.

 

 

 

You should possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or Chemical Engineering with five or more years related experience, PE is preferred. Additional qualifications include:
- Effective at managing design, construction and startup process and Process Mechanical systems in semiconductor facilities (Ultra Pure Water, waste collection and treatment, chemical and gas delivery, process cooling water and process vacuum systems)
- Effective with reading and interpreting construction contract documents
- Ability to manage workload of multiple projects of varying complexity
- Ability to work effectively within a variety of management levels, between the customer (Company) and the contractors, as well as outside clients and vendors
- Effective at problem-solving, including problem-solving methodologies, research strategies, logical reasoning, critical analysis of information and cooperative learning
- Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
- Strong leadership, interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Experience in design and construction of mechanical and process systems would be an added advantage
- Familiarity with cleanroom mechanical system engineering would be an added advantage
- Effective with control philosophy development, mechanical, process piping, fire, and specialty codes, environmental and construction law would be an added advantage
