Regional ITC Compliance Leader

The Regional International Trade Controls Compliance Leader is responsible for deploying international trade controls (ITC) policy.  This includes responsibility for executing company’s policies and procedures covering the regulation of international trade within the assigned region(s). Works with various cross-functional teams, as well as ITC legal within the region, to identify, assess and develop action plans with respect to international trade control risk.

 

·         Managing customs brokers, country of origin, establishing performance metrics, audit mechanism, cost analysis and compliant record keeping.

·         Responsible for driving compliance with all import/export activities to meet all country procedures and processes.

·         Liaising with Legal and Information Management teams to optimize digitization of import/export processes and improve compliance of related data attributes.

·         Influencing strategies and leading effective communication to business colleagues/leaders cross-functionally as Logistics point of contact for International Trade Compliance matters.

·         Quantification of cost savings opportunities for participation in preferential trade programs and oversight of compliant implementation of programs.

·         Leading roll out of broker consolidation across the pole.

·         Driving execution of actions identified through 3^rd party audits.

·         Implementing procedural improvements for all current and new trade programs.

·         Providing logistical customs orientated support to other components of company

 

1.       Aware of and comply with the company Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position

2.       Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines

3.       Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required.

4.       Knowledge and understanding of International Trade Compliance, identify, report and resolve any trade compliance issues.

5.       Knowledge of operating within security programs such as CTPAT and AEO to ensure that warehousing, packaging and transportation requirements are met.

 

1.       Bachelor’s Degree, or 7 years work experience in logistics or international trade compliance.

2.       3 years work experience in a Import & Export activities in the assigned region(s).

3.       3 years of operational logistics and project management experience.

4.       Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, and Access

5.       Ability to effectively communicate in local language and English

 

 

1.  Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Materials or Supply Chain Management

2.  Minimum of 5 years of operational logistics and customs expertise

3.  Excellent project management, communication and analytical skills

4.  Ability to energize, develop and build rapport at all levels within an organization

5.  Proven ability to execute and deliver on commitments

6.  Experience implementing a compliant supply chain

7.  Greenbelt certification preferred
