SUMMARY OF JOB:
Lead E&E team to develop power distribution unit in Rack System and control systems of Precision Cooling products for Data center applications. Motivate and direct team as required to meet NPD/NPI plans and follow COMPANY design process. 
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Lead the team to design, verification and qualification of 50Hz, 60Hz, single and three phase power distribution and control systems, using hardware development facilities and Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) tools, for development of Precsion Cooling products.
Lead the team to create and sustain Parts specification for electrical components and assemblies in database.
Creative problems-solving and diagnostic/troubleshooting abilities.
Liaise with electrical component suppliers and manufacturers, in conjunction with the Purchasing team.
Maintain aggressive product development schedules.
Manage regulatory compliance and product safety, in conjunction with the Quality Assurance team.
Work as part of a cross functional team.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION – MINIMUN REQUIRED LEVEL:
Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, advanced degree preferred
 
EXPERIENCE – MINIMUM REQUIRED:
5+ years experience with project management and design of single phase, three phase power systems and control systems
2+ years direct management of technical people
 
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS 1 – REQUIRED:
Excellent leadership, communications, listening, conflict management and interpersonal skills
Creative thinking, analytical problem solving and organizational skills
Demonstrated working knowledge of signal processing and design of OP-AMP circuits
Demonstrated knowledge of control systems.
Demonstrated knowledge of WW regulatory compliance directives.
Demonstrated knowledge of schematic capture and layout tools such as PADS and PSPICE.
Knowledge of Programmable MicroControllers and data acquisition systems.
Excellent technical writing capabilities.
Work with minimal supervision.
 
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS 2 – DESIRED BUT NOT ESSENTIAL:
Knowledge of local and remote monitoring of electro-mechanical control systems for HVAC or BMS systems
Experience with programming in ANSI C and Assembly language

NPD Manufacturing Engineer Racks

SUMMARY OF JOB:
This position is the corporate link between the LOB’s and the Rack products manufacturer during the design development phase to make sure the release to manufacturing is completed to specific metric’s and train the teams accordingly.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
40% - Ensure new product development process compliance from a manufacturing/operations supply chain aspect.
20% - Facilitate and participate in new prodouct development, producgtion builds and (ie. alpha beta pilot rampup) with production site of origin.
15% - DFM/DFA set guidelines, objectives and measure and track adherence and gaps during development process.
15% - Ensure Supply Chain plan is in conjunction with plan and meets target objectives.
10% - Ensure Manufacturing plan is in conjunction with production site or contract manfufacturer on overall plan to support product launch.
 
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
Facilitate and participate in the NPD product introductions/hand-off into the factory/region of choice,  to include China, Philippines, India, or other regions as required. 
Ensure compliance to COMPANY-MGE NPD process; specifically Manufacturing & Supply Chain elements.
The incumbent will represent Manufacturing during the NPD process and ensure products have been reviewed from a DFMA aspect.
Assist in the evaluation and recommendation of improvements to the manufacturing process including tooling and assembly methods.
Evaluate and drive resolution to product and material quality issues relating to design, test and manufacturing.
Recognize failure trends and recommend corrective action through continuous improvement processes.
Utilitize advanced Manufacturing/QA techniques (i.e. Lean, Six Sigma) in problem resolution/continuous improvement and root cause analysis.  Also act as a trainer with site NPD teams for utilitzation of these techniques.
Responsible to identify and implement cost reductions in both labor and material.
Assist as required, in qualifying new vendors for part qualifications and Turnkey Manufacturing.
Ensure the sourcing/procurement/supply chain plan on NPD projects meet Program requirements.
Ensure NPD programs meet/exceed Quality Objectives.
 
SCOPE & SIZE:
Position is responsible for reviewing New product costing relative to total cost and gross margin based on estimates and designs and own personal knowledge.  This position will be required to assist teams and in creating ROI based on total cost versus actual cost of program and then track cost.
 
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION – MINIMUN REQUIRED LEVEL:
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing,  Industrial, Electrical Engineering preferred, or equivalent experience
 
EXPERIENCE – MINIMUM REQUIRED:
5+ years related manufacturing engineering experience.
Experience in product development process/transfer/start-ups in a Manufacturing environment.
Experience in mechanical design processes.
Experience utilitizing Six Sigma & Lean principles.
 
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS 1 – REQUIRED:
Experience in sheet metal processes
Knowledge of material, especially for sheet metal
Solid Works/CAD softrware
DFMA experience
