Multimedia Technical Manager

 

Description

Within Company China R&D Institute - Systems and Technology Unit in Beijing we are looking for an extremely motivated technical manager who wants to be involved in promoting Company technical leadership in the Multimedia domain.

You will be driving two kinds of projects:

 

Projects to expose Company's latest technology achievements in the multimedia domain applicable to the China Market

Projects with customers and external partners identifying innovative service concepts which lead to new business opportunities for Company.

Focus areas are innovative mobile, fixed-mobile converged and TV services and enablers.

 

The main responsibilities are:

 

Support the Market Unit in China in performing technology lobby activities

Manage the technical aspects of the technology trials and demos with local operators

Actively explore, propose and develop solutions required for new project opportunities

Support in translating user/customer requirements & service functionalities into technical requirements

Break down concept use cases into solution architecture and software architecture

Lead small development teams to prototype new service concepts

Create requirements and assignment specification for outsourcing of sub projects

Managing external partners and consultants

Secure new ideas by actively working with patents in the projects

Qualifications

Master degree/Postgraduate or above in telecommunications, media technology or computer science

At least 2 years work experience from technical implementations in innovation projects in telecom services and/or end-to-end Internet service projects

At least 2 years experience on Agile SW development and object oriented programming

Innovative thinking

Familiar with one or several of the following domains:

 

Location based, internet, mobile internet services and applications

Familiar with one or several of the following development environments:

 

Java EE, Java ME, mobile technology (i.e. WAP, mobile application development, etc), web technology (i.e. JSP, Servlet, Java script, Ajax, etc), database technology (i.e. Mysql), Eclipse version control, Linux and Windows
