Cost/Commodity Analyst manager

Job description/Responsibilities
The successful candidate will develop, implement, and manage cost effective systems and business processes in one or more of the following areas: commodities, consumables, and supplier management while meeting aggressive spending targets during the start-up and ramp of a 300mm wafer fab in Dalian, China.
- Learn Company culture and systems
- Implement commodities management systems
- Design and set-up systems to effectively manage commodities, consumables, and suppliers
- Partner with key internal/external stakeholders to identify & implement solutions so waste elimination benefits and cost reduction are realized.
- Interface with
virtual factory Manufacturing System’s counterparts in other Company factories to understand and build on lessons learned from previous start-ups.
- Analyze and evaluate options from large, and sometimes complex data sets
- Distill analyses’ results and options into simple, straightforward communication.
- Create and execute to financial forecasts.
Qualifications
This role requires a high degree of influence, communication, and collaboration with a variety of stakeholders in differing contexts. The individual must be adaptable and open to new, emerging responsibilities as the factory progresses from start-up through ramp. The candidate must posses a variety of competencies including strong analytical and forecasting skills, technical acumen in the areas of process and equipment, strong communication and presentation skills, project management, and the ability to successfully collaborate and influence.
The candidate must have some skills and experience in the following areas:
· Ability to develop and enhance manufacturing systems to align a high-volume manufacturing operation on goals and systems.
· Advanced Excel and database skills, plus a track record of achieving results based on data analysis.
· Experience in project management and execution to roadmaps
· Experience translating technical requirements into cost reduction opportunities and streamlined business processes.
· Influencing of others (without supervisory authority) through data-driven communications, collaboration, and consistent follow through.
· Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing tools and principles
· A track record of results leading teams across organizations and levels.
· A minimum of a BS degree in engineering, management, or equivalent, with 3-5 years relevant work experience.
· A bias towards innovation and risk-taking to achieve outstanding results.
Travel and Temporary Assignment
· The position requires some international travel culminating in a permanent assignment in Dalian, China.
