PURPOSE OF JOB:
Describe the overall nature and purpose of the job as it exists today.
Manage a software system section to ensure SW projects to be delivered successfully in terms of schedule, cost and quality
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Manage a SW system team with around 15 ~ 20 people, Set clear goals for the team, do performance review for the team members on a regular basis.
2. Monitor the project progress closely, support SW project managers from line perspective and deal with the escalations if needed
3. Build up good relationship and trust with both internal and external partners including SW line, project office, Tokyo and Lund counterparts, etc
4. Drive technical areas within the global framework on phone system level to provide maximum value to our customers
5. Drive the improvement of productivity and efficiency of system related activities such as bring up, stability, issue fix, etc
Other Manage team budget and allocate resources towards various projects.
FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES:
1. Strong track record in mobile phone software development especially at phone system level. Proven record of breaking down high level strategy to detailed activities to improve efficiency and drive competence development.
2. Rich knowledge and skills in people management area with over 3 years of experience. Good leadership to move the team towards success
3. Good understanding of mobile communication technology and engineering working methodology. Good capability of driving various functional teams across different organizations
Other Bachelor degree or above on Telecommunication or Electronic or Computer. Good communication, influence, conflict management skills. Be proactive and with strong teamwork |
