Describe the overall nature and purpose of the job as it exists today.

 

As test architect, he/she should have in-depth knowledge of a variety of testing techniques and methodologies used both inside and outside of the company and work across all functional organizations in architecting the overall verification strategy and plans for applications / platforms /projects.

 

1. - Provide expert guidance and advice to other members of the team where appropriate on both technical and non-technical issues

- Assess, articulate and communicate the risks associated with each project

- Provide analysis and mitigation strategies for assessed risks

- Risk reviews are held internally with solution architect and project managers

- Review deliverables from testing team

2. Support that acceptance tests are completed and that all results including test measurements and acceptations are documented, and signed off by the customer. Determination of the technical architecture and solution offering.

3. Ensure the response meets the client needs and is within the technical capability of Company and Partners and preparation of the Solution Overview documents for the response, through evaluation, negotiation and agreement of partner technical responses.

4. Identification, analysis, resolution and escalation of technical & general project issues to ensure that on completion of final acceptance any issues and/or exceptions assigned are satisfactorily resolved in a timely manner and the project is successfully handed over to the support team.

5. Management of partners in existing application areas – understanding new feature sets, benefits, as well as non functional specifications, recommend and participate in the delivery of process improvements and managing the execution of acceptance tests to ensure that the application performs to the agreed specification/s, managing the specialist contribution of Partners & Suppliers as required.

Investigation & validation of alternative hardware and software solutions together with configuration recommendations including detailed specification & response analysis of third party suppliers

Other  Implementation of Complex Software Solutions - Reporting to a Project Manager for all matters relating to project delivery and to a Solution Architect for all matters concerning design. The Technical Architect is responsible for the day-day management & delivery of assigned systems, sub-systems & work packages.

 

1. In depth technical expertise of the test functional domain, familiar with all kinds of mobile test technologies.

   - Android OS, Linux OS, Cloud application and service

   - Language qualifications: Fluent English verbally & written. Preferably also fluent in a 2nd widely used European language.

Knowledge of current industry wide Quality & Test processes and practices, Tools and techniques

2. Proven and strong analytical and problem solving skills and excellent communication skills – within and outside team, across teams, with customers – both horizontally and vertically.

3. Ability to strategize and look ahead and at the big picture with good Project Management abilities
