Interoperability Testing validates the phone system is communicating correctly with other devices.

IOT team is in Q&CS I&V (IOT and Validation).

As architect in IOT team, he/she should have in-depth knowledge of a variety of testing techniques and methodologies used both inside and outside of SoMC. In this position you will be working across all functional organizations in architecting the overall verification strategy and plans for platforms /projects. You will work in a global network of wide range of internal and external stakeholders. 

 

Description of duties:

• Developing IOT verification testing methodology and handle IOT requirement analyzing

• Support project in identifying risks and mitigation, estimation of schedule (and resources)

• Interface with development teams

• Propose, implement improvements and keep up with new technologies and requirements

• Convince management of new ideas, concepts and solutions. Drive the solutions to successful conclusions

• Interact with marketing, CS and development teams to understand the issues and in driving solutions

• Research and present more streamlined testing processes

• Other responsibilities and key result areas as required or assigned.

 

Qualification:

• 8+ years experience in working with IOT and design in Wi-Fi/BT/NFC/MHL/USB and GSM/GPRS/UMTS/LTE

• In depth technical expertise of the Verification functional domain

• Working knowledge of SW validation tools and processes

• Proven and strong analytical and problem solving skills

• Proven ability to mentor and coach teams

You will report to I&V IOT manager in Beijing.

1. Developing IOT verification testing methodology and handle IOT requirement analyzing.

3. Interface with development teams for IOT solutions and issue tracking. Interact with marketing, CS and development teams to understand the issues and in driving solutions

4. Provide technical leadership and strategic direction. Provide technical assistance and/or advice to manger and team.

 

1. Knowledge of current industry wide Quality & Test processes and practices, Tools and techniques

2. Ability to work with teams. This point cannot be emphasized enough since at this level, the last thing that would be acceptable is silo behavior or merely trying to be an individual star performer. Being able to get the team to perform at an outstanding level is absolutely essential here. The “ability to influence” despite not having direct reporting relationships is very key. In this position, a high EQ is as much a necessity as a high IQ. The ability to collaborate and co-operate is important

3. Excellent communication skills – within and outside of the TO, across teams, with customers – both horizontally and vertically, is important. Effective negotiation skills are very important too.
