We are looking for a SAP Basis Application Architect, who will be responsible for our SAP Basis Architecture within Company.

 

 

·    Projects and new requirements

o   Support SOMC business projects with SAP Basis and NW administration related tasks – SAP Business Suite and Enterprise Portal applications.

o   Provide expert guidance for Landscape Architecture and/or SAP Basis/NW Administration requirements as required for new project implementations.

o   Direct and/or coordinate with SAP Operations outsourcing partner and SOMC Project teams when needed to resolve project related issues or tasks.

o   Identify and plan internal projects and/or change windows (refreshes, upgrades, Server patching, Solution Mgr, etc.).

 

·    System operations

o   Monitor system performance trends and propose/follow-up on tuning or other required actions.

o   Participate in outsourcing SAP Operations partner monthly review meetings.

o   Direct and/or coordinate with SAP Operations outsourcing partner and SAP Application Management to resolve technical/basis issues as required.

o   Participate is system issue escalations.

 

·    System housekeeping and improvements

o   Analyze SAP early watch reports and distribute work to SAP funcational Solution Manager and AM teams accordingly as required.

o   Follow-up on activities/recommendations from SAP Operations outsourcing partner monitoring and analysis.

o   Follow up and govern upgrade patches, archiving runs and batch jobs.

o   Drive Documentation as required for new Landscape implementations.

o   Work with Basis Application Management to ensure Basis Application Management documentation suite remains up to date.

 

·   Bachelor’s degree or above.

·   Mandatory knowledge of Basis Administration of ABAP systems and Enterprise Portal/Netweaver Administration.

·   Mandatory knowledge of SAP supporting architecture – servers, high level network requirements, etc required to support an SAP landscape. 

·   Some knowledge of SAP DB administration (via SAP application layer) and SAP Solution Manager strongly preferred.

·   Some knowledge of SAP applications and SAP application architecture preferred.

·   Some level of Project and Team coordination experience preferred.

·   Mandatory communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
