Roles & Responsibilities:
A self motivated system engineering background candidate with business sense and will be primarily responsible for dialogs with operators on long term technologies. The candidate is also responsible for aligning SOMC¡¯s technology strategies with customers and strategic partners in order to secure and better serve SOMC¡¯s business.
The successful candidate for this role should have broad and in-depth technical knowledge and strong business sense in mobile communication industry. The selected candidate will be required to work very closely with SOMC customers in greater China region as well as with various SOMC internal teams and develop to align technology roadmap and strategy.
The candidate is expected to have the strong technical compedencies to be able to independently communicate SOMC technology roadmaps and strategy to any customers in China and APAC. Any existing or previous experience working with CMCC, China Unicom and China Telecom will be definitely a plus.
Qualification:
• Bachelor¡¯s or Master's of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering with a minimum of 10 years experience in mobile communication or related industry.
• Solid in-depth knowledge in various mobile communication protocols, including GSM,GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, HSPA, LTE. Knowledge in Chinese stds. TD-SCDMA, CMMB would be a plus.
• Broad experience in multiple function areas for mobile device, including multimedia, networking protocols.
• Good communication skills with experience in dealing with mobile operators or other customers on technology strategies or collaborations.
• Strategic thinker to help CTO China develop China suitable technology strategies and roadmaps.
• A good team player with innovative thinking to make differences and take the ownership for his/her responsible areas.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English,
