Tool Support Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assist users (technical writers) of our content management system and other
tools.
Create new templates according to requirements from global Udoc.
Participate in new concept implementation.
Solve issues through troubleshooting.
2. Configure our content management system and give input to the external
vendor of customizations that needs to be done
3. Train and educate users of the system
4. Administer team sites and server access
5. Investigate new technologies
FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES:
1. • Excellent knowledge of XML, XSLT, XSL-FO
• Experience working with DITA XML and doing configurations of the DITA Open
Toolkit
• Experience working with content management systems using XML
• Problem solving methodologies and know-how¡¯s including diagnosis,
troubleshooting and solving of technical problems
• Strong ASP, .net Framework and VBS development skills
• Strong working knowledge of print technology, PDF/X, fonts, and encodings
• Up to date with latest DITA XML standards and what to come
• Keep updated with new technologies and applications/services within the user
support area.

• Strong in communication to internal as well as external stakeholders.
3. • Ability to structure information overall and in details.
• Have good knowledge of topic based writing, minimalism and usability.
• Create topics, maps, resource files and publications in our content
management system.
