As a Key strategic product in Company's Core Network Portfolio, Company Mobile Soft-Switch supports 50% of all GSM&WCDMA subscribers on soft-switched networks globally. With the state-of-the-art next generation MSS - MSC Server Blade Cluster, Company is taking the no-doubt leading position in Mobile Core Network market.
Feature Development Center (FDC) in Shanghai takes the responsibility in developing end-to-end Features (standard and market) for PDU MC from early phases to verification. To better support the upcoming feature development in mobile VoIP area, there is a strong need in mobile VoIP solution level competence. We are looking for an open minded, agile, and well-experienced System Expert of cutting-edge Mobile Core Network.
As System Design Engineer, you work on MSC system level (system management) and are the technically responsible of MSC system.
General Responsibilities
1.Identify technical requirement on the Mobile Core network system base on the business needs and opportunity
2.Come up with system technical solution to meet the Customer requirement.
3.Support product managers in requirement clarification and tender activities;
4.Define and maintain high-level system architecture; Participate in analysis and optimization of system characteristics;
5.Provide guideline on how functions will be implemented and ensure developed solution is according to defined system architecture;
6.Produce network/system level Design to give high level feature/system description;
7.Support & actively contribute to the "agilization" of MSC feature development;
8.As product owner, actively maintain the feature development product backlog and ensure development team's successful delivery of feature;
9.Initiate product improvements, process development and improvement;
10.Develop prototype and secure IPR;
Support the mobile core network standardization activities.
Specific Responsibilities as mobile VoIP expert:
- Drive Signaling/VoIP competence build up @ CBC FDC
- Coach / mentor senior technical persons @ CBC FDC
- Broadcast signaling/VoIP solution competence over early phase team, as well as FDTs @ CBC FDC
- Lift up general network solution competence & technical leadership @ CBC FDC
- As role model, take leading of MSS solution level studies @ CBC FDC
- Strengthen the technical leadership @ CBC FDC by providing necessary coaching & mentoring to high potentials
- Support the fostering of technology-pro atmosphere @ CBC FDC
- Contribute to RCNA market / customer engagement activities
- Participate in RCNA customer engagement activities, especially in E-2-E VoIP solution
- Contribute to the value based innovation
- Coach & support selected candidates @ FDC in customer engagement activities
- Support the VoLTE / IMS introduction in China Market on need basis
- Strengthen core network technology convergence on SH R&D site level
- Strengthen the technical forum across mobile core, IMS, Parket Core organization over the site
- Drive the core network evolution solution by leveraging the technical competence in mobile core, IMS as well as EPC domain

Qualifications
You have a good technical knowledge on product/system and a good understanding on business. You enjoy working with customer and can provide technical solution base on customer requirements. You are self-motivated, with the drive to solve problems and expand your knowledge.

Qualifications
1.Master degree or above in telecommunication, computer science or equivalent.
2.At least 5 years of R&D work experience with telecommunication core network (GSM/WCDMA/CDMA) and be able to deliver on-time, state-of-the-art business solutions with quality.
3.Familiar with 2G/3G GSM/WCDMA/TD-SCDMA standards in the circuit switched core network. LTE/EPC standards knowledge is an advantage.
4.Excellent knowledge about Mobile Soft-switch architecture, IP signaling transport and No.7 signaling network, broad telecom knowledge base and fast learning capability with new technology
5.Excellent knowledge about Mobile VoIP solution & Company MSC VoIP implementation.
6.Proven technical leadership requiring creativity, initiative and sound technical judgment.
7.Profound understandings and experience in Agile / Scrum software development. Product owner experience is an advantage.
8.Solid business understanding in telecommunication industry with customer-oriented / customer-first mind-set.
9.Innovative and solution thinking abilities, Open minded and willing to accept challenges.
10.Excellent oral and written English communication skills and be able to express technical concepts in clear, concise terms.
