Senior System Engineer/Architect Beijing
Roles & Responsibilities
· Work in the Platform Design (PLD) organizations platform projects as a System Architect supporting the project System Engineers
· Support the Head of PLD System Beijing with technical input to the overall technical direction and strategy
· Act on behalf of the Head of PLD System Beijing in daily technical decisions and coordination with the PLD design teams
· Drive, coordinate and analyze System Architectural improvements required
· Analyze new generation of either Google Android or key HW technologies with SEMC Technology group
· Perform System impact analysis for large new features or changes
· Support complicated system problem analysis, leading task forces and leading small technical teams
· Technical interface towards mobile phone chipset vendors
Qualification
· Master Degree or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar.
· At least 2 years working as a Senior System Engineer or Architect for an embedded system using Linux or similar OS
· At least 5 years working experience in embedded SW development and/or System design.
· Expert in integrating 3rd party SW components to a company specific SW platform
· Expert in analyzing system impacts for adding functionality or changing key SW/HW components in an existing SW platform
· Proven analytic capabilities solving complicated problems in an organized way
· Desired Google Android integration experience
· Desired knowledge of mobile device technology
· Achievement/result driven way of working/thinking.
· Good team work skills as both team leader and member
· Proven ability and desire to learn new technologies.
· Excellent presentation and communication skills
Fluent oral English, strong reading and writing ability.
