RBS System Design Engineer
Beijing
 
Description
Access Network R&D Center of Company is located at Beijing. Scope of the R&D Center is to develop RBS products within Radio Access Network area, with applicable standards like GSM, WCDMA, FDD & TDD LTE.
Responsibility:
1.        To work as technical coordinator and technical leader in RBS development/maintenance projects.
2.        Responsible for Radio HW System Design, to define HW architecture, system solutions and etc. of radio products.
3.        Responsible for systemization of functionalities and requirements, including break down to the sub level of implementation.
4.        Lead pre-studies, pre-developments and task forces, to create and validate new product ideas of future evolution, and provide technical solutions to product management.
Obtain and maintain a wide knowledge of Radio Access Network and Company products roadmap.
 
  Qualifications
1.        Master degree and above in Wireless Communication or equivalent.
2.        Minimum 3 years professional experience of Radio/HW System Design or Radio Development within Radio Access Network area.
3.        Ability of leading a virtual team to perform pre-study, pre-development and task forces, on time with quality output.
4.        Ability of leading Root Cause Analysis and trouble shooting.
5.        Fluent English speaking and writing, with good communication skills.
 
 
 
Mechanical Design Engineer (R&D)
Beijing
 
Description 
1.      To design the mechanical structure of Radio Base Stations, including enclosures and internal structures.
2.      To cooperate with PCB designers when designing the PCB outline and related mechanical parts.
3.      To use calculation and simulation when verifying and proving the structure and geometry design, like force analysis and tolerance chain analysis.
4.      Understand the requirements specifications from customer and system design, breakdown them into mechanical parts level requirements.
5.      Dimensioning of heat dissipation and EMC protection
6.      Draw 3D models and 2D drawings of mechanical parts.
7.      To cooperate with the global Company R&D designers, including but not limit to system design, radio & digital design, mechanical & thermal design, power design.
8.      To provide technical specifications for outsourcing parts.
9.      To cooperate with the R&D Center sourcing staff dealing with external vendors in technical respects.
10.    To optimize the mechanical parts for manufacture and assembly and cooperate with engineers in global external vendors and Company factories.
11.    To do the root causes analysis of design and quality troubles and provide solutions.
12.    To create innovative techniques and mechanical solutions.
13.    Establishment, development and continue improvement of design environment and ways of working for mechanics within the R&D Center.
  
Qualifications
1.      Master degree or above in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. (Required)
2.      Excellent theory knowledge of mechanical design, including calculation and simulation skills. (Required)
3.      Excellent knowledge of computer assistant design tools such as Pro/Engineer and PDMlink. (Required)
4.      Good knowledge within the EMC area. (Required)
5.      Good knowledge within thermal area. (Required)
6.      Sensitive for new material and finish treatment knowledge and application. (Required)
7.      Good sense of material cost and manufactures process. (Required)
8.      Good understanding of telecom industry standards and key testing criteria. (Required)
9.      Basic knowledge of Wireless Communication systems. (Required)
10.      Be proactive and responsible, result-oriented. (Required)
11.      Good communication skills and social abilities. (Required)
12.      Fluent oral & written English. (Required)
13.      Research experience related to mechanical design. (Preferred)
14.      Good knowledge within die casting, machining, sheet metal manufacturing, injection plastic, cable and connectors design. (Preferred)
15.      Good knowledge of DFM( Design for manufacture) and DFA( Design for Assembly). (Preferred)
16.      Design for 6 sigma green belt or black belt. (Preferred)
17.      Understanding of industry design for telecom equipments. (Preferred)
