Software Verification Engineer

Design and develop test strategies, integration plans and test plans; Lead the integration- and test execution; Investigate new test technology and methodologies.
Responsibility
· Drive manual and automation test execution for both black box testing and white box testing of all features within mobile platform
· Execute SEMC Software platform KPI testing, including Monkey, CTS, BITS, AITOD, User Scenario, Performance and other test activities.
· Learn and master the new technologies/ architecture of application/software platforms that will be introduced in future products.
· Design test cases, execute test cases and report test result on time with quality.
· Design and develop automation test script for software test.
Qualification
· Bachelor or Master degree of Telecommunication or Computer Engineering
· Minimum of 2 years experience in embedded software or mobile application development.

· Define Software Quality Key Performance Indicators (SW KPI) with the delivery responsible.

Responsible for Company mobile phone Software platform Integration and troubleshooting to secure SW system performance quality (Stability, performance, power consumption, memory etc) on track and on schedule.
· Acts as technical leader and driver during project execution for all non-functional, performance related design, implementation and test
· Responsible for critical issue cause finding on each software release, the issue could be caused in very different area, e.g. application, middleware, protocol stack, driver, memory configuration or even in hardware.
· Analysis faults in system level and provide constructive solution.
· Provide support to development team for cross-function or critical problems. Provide support to testers to determine system problems.
· Coordinate and communicate with relevant organization, local or global, to discuss technical issues.
· For Sr. Engineer, acts as coach, ensures knowledge sharing and transfer to junior team members
Qualification
· University degree or above in computer engineering, electrical engineering or related areas.
· >3 (5) years of mobile phone development experience especially on Android platform. Overall knowledge of the Embedded/Mobile phone SW architecture, including Application framework, Driver, Protocol stack and MMI. JVM knowledge is a plus.
· Familiar with Java, Linux and C/C++ development.
· Familiar with common SW debug tools, ARM architecture and exception handling. Expert debugging knowledge with Lauterbach/T32 and GDB is a great plus 4. Strong track record in software design management.
· Strong competency to trace, analyze and resolve cross-function software issues.
· Good written and spoken English/Chinese. Good team work and communication competency. |
