In this position, you will be joining Windows Embedded Software Engineering Team under Digital Home Group (DHG) in China as Engineering Manager. This team is responsible for developing firmware and low level Windows Embedded device drivers for Connected Media Products based on Company Media SoC (System on Chip) platform, such as digital set-top boxes, connected Audio/video devices. You are responsible for providing management and technical leadership to a team focusing on the Company SoC based firmware and platform/display/graphics/streaming-media Windows Embedded driver development, work closely with US segment team, SW architects and guiding your SW development team to collaborate with other CEE/SQE team to deliver SW features, provide bug fixing and finally enable customer enter into Mass production. Management duties include but are not limited to organizational development, resource planning/management, delivery/schedule commitment, people/technical development, day to day operation mgt to ensure team have high output with high morale. You will be expected to take initiative for new responsibilities and projects.

 

   

 

You should possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with more than 10 years working experience. Position is based in Shanghai. Additional qualifications include:

Familiarity with Software development methodology and process.

Familiarity with Company Architecture, SoC/embedded system architecture, Windows Embeddedsystem architecture, and device driver development.

Solid technical knowledge and software development experience in more than one area listed below: BIOS, peripheral devices, display, video capture, 2D/3D graphics, streaming media devices, etc.

Experience on Linux and other embedded software development is a good plus.

Exhibit great technical and problem solving skills as well as strong people and stakeholder management skills.

Excellent communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
