Packet based Mobile Backhaul (MBH) transport is with the rapid growth of mobile data applications driven by smartphones like iPhone, Adroid phones and Tablets the main focus of Company's transport portfolio. Company's undisputed #1 position in mobile systems is the perfect starting point for success in this wave of network transition from traditional TDM/SDH based transport to packet based transport.
The ETOS common SW platform is the center of this strategy for creating a unique portfolio of products with a unified feature set and seamless management. This is done by implementing a common application called ETOS scalable for products ranging from the Access Edge to the Metro core.
ETOS is owned by one Product Development Unit (PDU) that is the supplier to all product lines for the MBH within Company's Product Area IP & Broadband. ETOS includes both applications and SW framework for the product to develop their own product specific variants.
This PDU needs to strengthen its team of system architects to grow the existing platform towards better scalability, broader functionality and higher R&D efficiency. Role & responsibility:
· Provide architectural guideline on how functions will be implemented and ensure developed solution is according to defined system architecture
· Responsible of the Software Architecture Framework and artifacts for ETOS such as Meta-Architecture, Guidelines and Policies
· Define and maintain high-level system architecture; Participate in analysis and optimization of system characteristics
· Initiate product improvements, process development and improvement
· Guide the development teams throughout the entire development process with providing architectural guidance using the Software Architecture Framework
· Interface with Company common component development teams on software architecture and capabilities, software integration, and new feature development.
· Secure ETOS software architecture including interfaces adhere to Company's Component Based Architecture (CBA) definitions
· Develop prototype and secure IPR
· Follow industry and technology trends related to ETOS and MBH to ensure countinous technology leadership
Qualifications

Technical background:
· University Bachelor or Master Degree of any of the following: Computer Science, Telecommunication, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering.
· Highly developed programming skills.
· Highly developed design skills, especially on design modeling and design pattern.
· Experienced on OOAD and UML. Familiar with Rational Rose.
· Highly developed knowledge in high availability Linux OS and real time applications
· Broad R&D working experience, i.e. test, SW design, system design etc
· Strong knowledge about transport systems using IP & Ethernet protocols.
· Strong knowledge of complex system architectures
· Good knowledge of packet based network architectures
· Can work independently and have the team spirit.
· Open minded and willing to accept new challenges.
· Good English and Chinese communication skills (both in written and verbal), able to express own thinking clearly.
