DVT/QA Engineer (PDU)

SUMMARY OF JOB:
Design, develop and implement Design-Verification-Test for Rack/PDU(Power Distribution Unit) products. Generate completed DVT test report to assure product quality on product functional specifications.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Define PDU product DVT test plan to assure product quality with Deisgn Engineer by reference product Specification and COMPANY design standard
- Design /develop and debug hardware and software for DVT test systems. Perform mechanical fabrication of panels, fixtures, shelving, other mechanical devices and assembly of DVT Testers
- Generation of test plans and test procedures, the tracking/execution of those plans and procedures, the review of defects found and the creation of detailed test reports.
- Gather/analysis test data and Generate formal DVT test report per DVT Test Plan
- Work requires a working knowledge of electrical/electronic hardware, the use of standard test equipments/facilities, to verify design functions; and the application of ¡°black-box¡± test methodology.
- An understanding of the interaction between hardware and firmware/software in an embedded control system and a familiarity with TCP/IP based communications is also required
- Intergrate new test technologies into existing test fixture design and modify exisiting test hardware to support new products
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
- Troubleshooting PDU equipment/Facility failures. Performs diagnosis of assembly errors, wiring errors and other problems related to test system.
- Troubleshooting UUT defects, review / improve the design by working with Design engineers
- Integrate new test technologies into existing Test ficility & perofrm modification of Facility if need to support new products
- Understand control schematics of cooling products, can diagnosis of control parts defects
- Other duties as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION ¨C MINIMUN REQUIRED LEVEL:
¡¤ Bachelor's degree in Electrical engineering, industrial Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
EXPERIENCE ¨C MINIMUM REQUIRED:
¡¤ 3+ years previous experience designing and developing DVT for Electrical/electronic products.
¡¤ 2 years QA working experience in electric power product Manufacturer.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS 1 ¨C REQUIRED:
- Strongly Understanding of Elctrical/electronic power/power switch product principles.
- Familiar on use/application of electric/electronic equipments/facility.
- Strong understanding of Electric Power Product Safety Test Standard£¬
- Familiar with UL, CCC, VDE¡ standard for power products
- Ability to read and understand electric/electronic schematics.
- Understanding of computer operating systems, networks and architecture.
- CP/CPK 6sigma tools application on cooling test
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to work under minimal supervision.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS 2 ¨C DESIRED BUT NOT ESSENTIAL:
- Computer Programming Experience (Labview, VB,VC¡)
- Experience in design of electric/electronic circuitry
- Program management skills
- Electrician cetification
