Description:
As a senior platform validation developer you will take a leading role to closely work with Company HW/SW ingredient development teams, system developers, platform architecture teams and validation architects to develop validation methodologies, processes, test cases and test plan for Company next generation client platform (Notebook, Netbook, Desktop, Entry Level Desktop, Tablet and All in One system). You will also be responsible for working closely with validation execution team, analyzing the validation result, identifying test gap and updating the test cases to ensure the platform quality and health. You will play a key role in defining strategy of continuous validation improvement, including optimize validation coverage by designing effective test case, improve validation efficiency by reducing process redundancy and developing automation tools for execution. As addition, you will be effectively working with customers (OEM/ODM) and 3rd party component vendor to understand the industry requirement and influence the adoption of Company platform validation concept and methodology, to drive the overall improvement of ecosystem.
Qualification:
- You should possess a degree in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering or relevant with 8-10 years relevant experience.
- Experience of software development and integration for Linux is a must
- Experience of HW/SW integration, verification and validation for tablet or embedded system his highly preferred
- Need to be familiar with programming language like C/C++, as well as assembly language.
- Automation development using script language such as Perl, shell for software installation and testing under Linux is a plus.
- Detailed understanding of Company IA platform architecture, mega feature roadmap and solid experience of test development on IA at the platform level will be a valuable asset.
- Nice to have experience of working with Company HW/SW development teams (IAG, UMG, SSG etc) and ingredient validation teams (silicon, GFX, BIOS, Wireless¿, power, thermal, electrical etc), and solid network with related stakeholders as well
- A proven track record in planning, influencing, effective communication, result orientation and team works

In this position you will primarily focus on the test development of IA based tablet devices, as well as other Company next generation client platforms (Notebook, Netbook, Desktop, Entry Level Desktop and All in one system). As a senior platform validation developer you will take a leading role to closely work with Company HW/SW ingredient development teams, system developers, platform architecture teams and validation architects to develop validation methodologies, processes, test cases and test plan. You will need to explore the different usage model/special requirement, study the ecosystem of tablet devices design/development, understand the tablet system integration method, and utilize this knowledge for developing solid test plan. You will also be responsible for working closely with validation execution team, analyzing the validation result, identifying test gap and updating the test cases to ensure the platform quality and health. You will play a key role in defining strategy of continuous validation improvement, including optimize validation coverage by designing effective test case, improve validation efficiency by reducing process redundancy and developing automation tools for execution. - Sounds knowledge of different OS, including windows, Meego, Linux*, Android, MacOS, knowledge of Windows CE and iPhone OS will be a good add.
- Solid experience of test development on IA at the platform level is a must, knowledge of test on ingredient level is highly preferred.
- Detailed understanding of Company platform architecture, mega feature roadmap and strategy.
- Experience of working with HW/SW development teams and ingredient validation teams (silicon, GFX, BIOS, Wireless, power, thermal, electrical etc), solid network with related stakeholders will be a much valuable asset.
- Experience of working with customer, 3rd party vendors and ecosystem, need to be highly skilled for efficient customer communication and engagement.
