BBA Switch SW Engineer

Description
- Responsible for developing and maintaining of Switch SW on BBA area
- Participate in systemization together with people from System team and verification strategy with people from I&V team
- Responsible for writing technical documents, e.g. Implementation proposal, Design specification, and etc.
- Responsible for coding, unit test, basic integration test of SW functions
- Integrate software with third part software modules
- To be Technical contact to different suppliers to provide technical support, discuss technical solution, track and control SW quality of supplier
Qualifications
- M.Sc. or B.Sc in Computer Science or telecommunication engineering or related discipline (Masters preferred)
- More than 3 years work experience in telecom product area
- Experience for some of following L2.
> Bridge (MAC learning, forwarding)
> VLAN (tagging, QinQ, QoS)
> Ethernet OAM
> Synchronous Ethernet
> IEEE 1588
> STP (spanning tree)
> ERP
> LACP
> MEF
> Other protocols, e.g., PPPoE, DHCP, ARP, etc.
- Experience of IPTV. Must be familiar with IGMP proxy / snooping.
- Experience of management protocol. Must have knowledge of SNMP. Prefer TACACS, Radius
- Prefer of IP routing (one of routing protocols like OSPF, ISIS, BGP).
- Prefer security knowledge, such as 802.1x, IPSec
- Prefer to have knowledge of Broadcom chipset.
- RTOS embedded experience (bootloader, VxWorks, Linux OS)
- Strong software programming skills and demonstrated software debugging skills
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skill
- Embedded O&M SW development experience in telecommunication equipment is preferred
- Good communication skills. Be able to work cohesively within the team and across team, also towards supplier and customer
- Good team player and able to work in an extremely fast pace and high pressure environment
- Must be self-motivated
- Fluent English in written and oral communications
