Software Design Engineer - Broadband Access

Description
- Responsible for design and maintenance of embedded operation and management SW on broadband access equipments
- Participate in systemization together with people from System team
- Responsible for writing technical documents, e.g. Implementation proposal, Design specification, Test Specification, and etc.
- Responsible for coding, unit test, basic integration test of SW functions
- Integrate software with third part software modules
- Review source code & documents
- Efficiently communicate with engineers from other teams in China and other RND sites
Qualifications
- M.Sc. or B.Sc in Computer Science or telecommunication engineering or related discipline (Masters preferred)
- Strong Java/C programming skills
- Solid understanding of file system/processes/multi-threading
- RTOS embedded experience (VxWorks, PSOS, Linux OS)
- Deep understanding about telecommunication protocols, especially on SNMP/MIB,TCP/IP, MPLS, L2/L3 VLAN.
- Strong software programming skills and demonstrated software debugging skills
- 2 years or above embedded O&M SW development experience in telecommunication equipment is preferred
- Good team player and able to work in an extremely fast pace and high pressure environment
- Open and good at communication, actively provide good suggestions for technical and non-technical issues
- Fluent English in written and oral communications
