UPS Program Manager

SUMMARY OF JOB:
Lead a cross-functional team of 10 -15 functional owners to deliver and support high volume power protection products for customers worldwide, and create product definitions and plans to follow new product development process. Manage team as required to execute program plans to accomplish high-quality & low-cost products in effective and efficient manner"
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manage program team to accomplish high-quality & low-cost products in effective and efficient manner"
- Execute all new product developemt as required process.
- Train, motivate and direct staff as required to execute program plans and follow COMPANY design process.
- Manage external resources required to successfully launch product into manufacturing and into market.
- Initiate all program, design, cost, DFA/DFM/DFT, etc. reviews.
- Participates in team member performance appraisals.
- Obtains resources from program sponsor.
- Responsible for hitting startup quality goals.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
- Lead / assign competitive product evaluations.
EDUCATION ¨C MINIMUN REQUIRED LEVEL:
¡¤ BSEE or equivalent technical 5 year degree, advanced degree (MBA, MSEE) preferred
EXPERIENCE ¨C MINIMUM REQUIRED:
¡¤ 5+ years experience in the consumer electronics or electrical appliance industry designing electrical end user products, especially UPSs
¡¤ 3+ years experience in program management of electrical end user products, especially UPSs
¡¤ 2+ years experience in the direct management of technical people
¡¤ Experience in lean manufacturing environment and principles preferable.
