Description 1. Objective of the Job To staff, organize and manage the Systems & Technology organization of DUIB S&T China in line with the directives and guidelines set by the Head of DUIB China. 2. Background This position is a key role in the new DUIB China organization covering 4 Development Organizations (DO) in China. This is a new role and requires an experienced Senior Manager with strong initiative and technical background to bring the current System Management team into its new roles & responsibilities. The organization is positioned centrally to secure technology leadership and reuse across the DO's and towards the global DUIB/BNET S&T. 3. Responsibilities - Lead the S&T team to take the roles as both System Management and Technology leaders for key technologies - Support the DUIB S&T with technology scouting in specific areas, i.e. Packet technologies - Drive Quick Studies for the respective DO/PDU supported - Drive University cooperation's for Company Research within DUIB areas - Provide HW and SW architectures for the projects in DUIB China - Create and manage detailed requirement specifications for project in DUIB China - Provide Technical coordination in Project Execution - Chair Change Control Boards for products and projects - Help define the development processes and Ways of Working to be used by this organization 4. Authorities Take full responsibility of managing the Systems & Technology team within DUIB China. This includes all hiring and training required for the team, as well as control of the budget for this team. 5. Reporting Line The Head of DUIB Systems & Technology will report directly to the Head of DUIB China and is a member of the DUIB China Management Team.
Qualifications 6. Requirements for the Job - Minimum Master of Science - More than 15 years in the telecom industry - More than 10 years as a manager - Deep knowledge of Product System Design processes and development methodologies - Desired to have Company experience - Strong architectural design skills and a proven track record of leading teams in the creation of new product architectures - Excellent understanding of Telecom and/or Datacom technologies and systems - Cultural awareness and international experience preferred - Good people management skills and relationship building ability |
