Cooling program manager

SUMMARY OF JOB:
Lead a cross-functional team to deliver and support Computer Room/Data Center Cooling products for customers worldwide. Create and own new product definitions and program plans. Motivate and direct team as required to execute program plans and follow Company design process. Initiate all program, design, cost, DFA/DFM, etc reviews. Responsible for coordinating on-time development, manufacture, and delivery of quality products to market.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manages programs or projects involving department or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of a product through the design process, and into a finished state for internal or external customers
- Work with Management to have program staffed appropriately
- Create and own program plan (schedule, resources) to meet program expectations, ensure quality on time delivery
- Contribute to creating the product definition
- Coordinate all support activities to meet NPD contract deliverables
- Execute and implement all work aligned with the NPD process
- Educate team on NPD process
- Report status of program activity to all stakeholders (e.g., management, support functions)
- Communicate change in project to departmental and cross functional teams
- Responsible for program metrics
- Identify root cause of problems, offers solutions to resolve issues
- Interface with Cross-functional teams and Corporate to continuously improve the NPD processes
- Responsible for performance reviews in partnership with managers and/or chief engineers
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
- Participate in new team member hiring
- Lead/assign compatitive products evaluations
EDUCATION ¨C MINIMUN REQUIRED LEVEL:
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalent, advanced degree preferred
EXPERIENCE ¨C MINIMUM REQUIRED:
¡¤ 4+ years design experience in Cooling products
¡¤ 3+ years of program management and the direct management of technical people.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS 1 ¨C REQUIRED:
- Excellent leadership, communications, listening, conflict management and interpersonal skills
- Good analytical problem solving and organizational skills
- Excellent decision-making and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
- PC software proficiency (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint)
- Basic Finacial knowledge
- Work with minimal supervision.

TRAVEL:
- Domestic and international travel as needed
