Description
As a Software Design Engineer, you will develop or modify the products to meet the customer's requirements as well as fulfill the business requirements on cost, time and quality.
Work with leading edge technology design (design documentation, coding in C/C++ or Erlang, and unit test) for GSM/GPRS and WCDMA Packet Core systems.
Handle Customer Adaptation or Product Maintenance work and perform trouble-shooting for whole product upon customer request.
Design documentation like component description and modeling during system design
and implementation.
Qualifications
You will have the knowledge of the communication equipment, protocols and both transmission and link mediums that constitute the telecommunication networks.
2+ years experience with Bachelor degree or above in Computer Science, Telecommunication, Information Technology, and Electronics.
Highly developed knowledge in Linux, Unix (Solaris) and VxWorks. Linux Kernel development experience would be preferred.

The requirements on our products, from both existing and potential new customers, are currently very high and there is a huge demand of new features as well as higher capacity and performance.
In order to meet the demands above and to secure a continued success of the Company Packet Core products, we are expanding our Integration & Verification organization.
As a SGSN Verification Engineer your main responsibilities are to together with your team:
* Study requirement specifications and make time estimates regarding different activities during the development phase,
* Write test specifications and map them to related requirements,
* Review test specifications together with designers, system managers and others involved,
* Write test scripts and automate the execution of them,
* Execute test cases and document the results,
* Write trouble reports with relevant error logs attached,
* Find faults and verify corresponding corrections of the software.
* Ensuring the functionality and characteristics of a system on node level
* Other activities related to testing, such as test tool design, process design etc.
There will be opportunities to work in development, maintenance, support projects as well as being involved in the new technology trial at customer site.

System Engineer

GGSN is a central node in the packet core network providing gateway functionality between the internet and the core network as well as service-aware charging and control functionality.
You will be a system engineer in the Packet Core Network group in Shanghai.
