Lab engineer (cooling)
SUMMARY OF JOB:
Lab Engineer will be responsible the lab routines, inculding test standard implement, confirming the test requirements with engineering team and DVT/QA engineer, to perform test method design, test plan implement; Technical guide the technicians to set up and conduct the test, test results evaluation and analysis for solution, test equipments maintainance and etc. To achieve test purpose as required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
l Conduct tests on cooling products in accordance with established engineering test standards. Responsible to support manufacturing and the field through corrective action to improve product design and/or reduce product and production costs.
l Technical guide lab technicians to perform cooling products test base on desfined test plan
l Reviews test requirements, objectives and test results with QA and/or Engineering Team.
l Implements tests procedures and uses appropriate test equipment to achieve test objectives as directed by DVT/QA and/or Engineering Team.
l Maintains files of all test data and generate test report
l Define test method and maintain test equipment/system, maintain facility equipments
l Training Lab technicians
l Work with minimal supervision
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
l Support Engineering team to resolve cooling defects
l Conduct EHS activities in Lab
l Other duties as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION ¨C MINIMUN REQUIRED LEVEL:
l Bachelor's degree in HVAC/Refrigeration Engineering or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE ¨C MINIMUM REQUIRED:
l 1. 5+ years experience in air conditioning industry and 3+ years of cooling lab experience
l 2. Experience with refrigeration system optimization.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS 1 ¨C REQUIRED:
¡¤ Knowledge of state-of-the-art psychrometric test chambers and testing methodologies.
¡¤ Familiarity with specifications of test equipments.
¡¤ Problems-solving and troubleshooting abilities to HVAC system.
¡¤ Good technical writing ability in both English and Chinese.
¡¤ Familiar with Lab facility construction
¡¤ Proven ability to work under minimal supervision.
