Strategic Technology Leader-mechanical

 

Overview/ Responsibilities / Deliverables

 

The STL will have lead roles in multiple arenas. S/he is recognized as a Global Technology expert in the mechanical design/processes/technical sourcing in the areas of  Fabrication & Machining, Plastics & Cable & Harness commodities & its supplier’s base. Primary responsibilities would be leading & coordinating Validation & Verification work/Engineering change processes with Modality engineering teams on VCP/Material cost reduction projects. He/She would be driving cost reduction efforts thru material technologies changes/process changes, leading suppliers fair in the technical area & will be integral part of material aggregation efforts & Session “S” efforts in technical area. He/She  will be the point person for identifying and driving commonization/standardization in the areas of various mechanical technologies parts (For ex: Castor wheels, Drives, mechanical/plastics raw materials like resins, aluminum grades) introducing new technologies in F&M to improve COMPANYHC leadership in the market place. S/he will develop a roadmap for Mechanical (F&M) technology manufacturing/process standards to be used by COMPANYHC working closely with strategic supply base.

S/he will provide the Strategic technical information related to process & raw material required for NPIs, VCP &  SII. He/She will be embedded with in Commodity teams & Work very closely to meet deflation matrix & will also work with P&Ls.

 

 

Qualification/ Experiences/Skills

 

Bachelor Degree in Mechanical/ Industrial engineering with minimum 6 years experiences in the area of engineering/processes/technical sourcing

Excellent Knowledge in engineering in the areas of Validation & Verification, Engineering change process

Good Knowledge on Manufacturing & Processes areas in Mechanical areas like F&M, Casting & Plastics

Good knowledge on costing/understanding the cost drivers & directing/managing the cost reduction ideas

The STL will have lead roles in multiple arenas. S/he is recognized as a Global Technology expert in the Electrical/Electronics Printed wire assembly (PWA) design/processes/technical sourcing in the areas of  PWA, Electronics Components & Printed Circuit Boards & Displays commodities & its supplier’s base. Primary responsibilities would be leading & coordinating Validation & Verification work/Engineering change processes with Modality engineering teams on VCP/Vitality/Localization cost reduction projects. He/She would be driving cost reduction efforts thru right technology & components usage /process changes, leading suppliers fair in the technical area & will be integral part of material aggregation efforts & Session “S” efforts in technical area. He/She  will be the point person for identifying and driving commonization/standardization in the areas of various Electrical/Electronics/Display technologies parts (For ex: Active Semiconductor components, Integrated Circuits, Printed Circuit boards/Flexes, Connectors  & Displays) introducing new technologies in PWA/PWB/Display to improve COMPANYHC leadership in the market place. S/he will develop a roadmap for Electrical/Electronics technology manufacturing/process standards to be used by COMPANYHC working closely with strategic supply base. S/he will work very closely with Components review boards on driving right costs, right life cycle of components. & reduce sole/single source components.

S/he will provide the Strategic technical information related to process & components required for NPIs, VCP &  SII. He/She will be embedded with in Commodity teams & Work very closely to meet deflation matrix & will also work with P&Ls.
