Platform Engineer (PDU)

SUMMARY OF JOB:
Owner for Rack/PDU Product, response for overall technical/Quality issues from NPI, manufacturing, and marketing. final approver for any product Engineering change. Resolving any issues raised by service engineer from field.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Participate in the investigation and resolution of issues that negatively affect the quality, performance, and reliability of Rack/PDU product in a manufacturing environment from a mechanical and electrical standpoint.
Responsible to support manufacturing and the field through corrective action to improve product design and/or reduce product and production costs.
Review factory DPU for better tracking production quality
Facing customer for field issues, sum the defects in fields, and complete/review the final quality report for field defects
Training service engineer to deal with the technical issues happened in Customer side
Final approver for any engineering change requested by other funtion
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
Modify product design to improving quality by working with Design engineer
Train factory person for product debug
Improve the test method by existing test equipments
Other duties as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION ¨C MINIMUN REQUIRED LEVEL:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE ¨C MINIMUM REQUIRED:
5+ years experience in design and support of Electric/Electronic product or related fields, or an Associate¡¯s degree in Technology/Applied Science and at least 1 to 2 years
2+ years service working experience in Electric Power Product Manufacturer.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS 1 ¨C REQUIRED:
Strongly knowledge on Electric/Electronic Components
Expert using FMEA to resolving product issue; Strong 7-step skills
Cp/CPK 6Sigma tools application on electronic / electrical products
Strongly ability on electric/electronic schemetic analysis
Familiar with Electrical/Electronic Power & Power Switch product test spec
Strongly knowledge of Power product quality concept
Familiar with regulator compliance approval requirement for power product
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Very good communication skills
Proven ability to work under minimal supervision.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS 2 ¨C DESIRED BUT NOT ESSENTIAL:
Electric/Electronic product design
Programming experience using LabVIEW software.
Experience in design of electronic / electrical circuitry.
Program management skills
Electrician cetification
TRAVEL:
Domestic and International Travel as required
OTHER KEY CONSIDERATIONS:
Good communication and technical writing ability in Englsih.
Candidate must be able to interact well with customers
