Description
In this position, you will be reporting to Construction Materials and Services (CMS) China Country Manager. You will be based in Da Lian Liao Ning Province. You will be an individual contributor working with Company Construction Team (project manager, finance, safety, engineer, end user and other members) to deliver Company construction projects (constructing and sustaining Company facility) successfully in terms of scope, budge, schedule and safety to meet business needs. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Responsible for procurement of design, construction and other construction related services
- Leading a variety of construction contracting efforts through all phases of the project life cycle according to Company Construction Management Process (CMP)
- Responsible for supplier sourcing and market survey, developing contracting and compensation strategies according to project nature and situation, organizing bidding, developing negotiation plan, negotiating with vendor, awarding contracts, administrating contract, solving issues of payment, working with legal and risk management team to solve contract disputes during construction, closing out of the contract, and negotiating changes
- Owning and implementing Company full supplier management program from sourcing decisions to supplier development to proactively identify and address performance issues
- Ensuring project execution compliance with corporate fiscal, legal, environmental and risk management policies to mitigate corporate liability
- Conducting business in a manner consistent with Company's philosophy of total and uncompromised integrity
Qualifications
You should possess a Bachelor's degree or above in Business, Engineering, or Architecture (an M.B.A is preferred) with a minimum of eight years construction contract management, project management or relevant experience. Additional qualifications include:
- Good knowledge on construction project nature, contract methodology, and risk management, knowing local law and construction related government policies
- Ability to communicate in English freely include speaking, writing and presentation
- Good interpersonal and communication skill
- Ability to demonstrate certain level of leadership skill in order to lead some activities
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Ability to travel within China, Asia and worldwide
