IP Routers R&D Systems Engineer

Description

China R&D Systems and Technology is further strengthening its capacity on IP technologies. In the light of our full service broadband ambition and ongoing deployments, we will intensify the cooperation with our customers. The optimal architecture, products and features and their introduction shall be defined in a close dialogue with the major players in China mainland.

To do so, we are looking for a strong candidate to enhance our team in Beijing. Main focus is our IP transmission portfolio (MSER based on SmartEdge, Policy Management). The task will also comprise contributions to Chinese and international standardization as well as the solution for the evolved packet core (SAE) for the next generation radio network (LTE).

The role resides in a triangle between our development units, the local market unit and the Chinese decision making bodies. Systems support for customer trials and demos also belong to our daily business.

 

Qualifications

- M.Sc. or above in Computer science, Telecommunication, Electrical Engineer or equivalent

- At least 3 years of experience in a relevant technical area (e.g. IP routers its protocols and architectures, packet switching architecture for 2G/3G/4G mobile networks, CCSA/3GPP/IETF standardization)

- Proven track record as System Architect in the Telecom/IT industry

- Good understanding general Internet technology (e.g. SIP, Diameter, AAA) is a plus

- Excellent interpersonal and communicative skills

- Self-motivated and innovative

- Fond of working in a cross-functional and team oriented environment

- Fluent in verbal and written English
